Once the airflow holes are added, washing your bike without removing the air filter can become a concern. That’s where the DCMX Side Plate Wash Cover comes in. Designed to temporarily plug the airflow holes during washing, this cover helps keep the majority of water, mud, and debris off your air filter, reducing the risk of contamination while cleaning your bike.

Drilling holes in your side plate may alter airflow and could require a fuel or mapping adjustment using the Kawasaki Rideology application, depending on your exhaust system and other engine modifications. Improper fueling can negatively affect performance and engine reliability. If you are unsure, or if additional modifications are present, consult a professional engine tuner for proper setup and verification. Recommended tuners include XPR, Twisted Development, HP Development, or another qualified engine tuning professional.
